MARK DAVID PATTERSON

Mark D. Patterson completed his earthly journey on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the age of 60. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Mark was a graduate of West Jefferson High School. He was an employee of Jefferson Parish Public Schools, before transitioning to Jefferson Parish Department of Public Works, from which he retired after 23 years of dedicated service. Mark was an avid New Orleans Saints and LA Dodgers fan. He loved family gatherings where he enjoyed boiling and grilling. Beloved husband of Dimitri Watkins Patterson. Loving father of Shuntrell Baldwin, Aaron and Brittany Watkins, and the late Jeremy Watkins. Bonus father of Joshua Jackson. Cherished grandfather of Clinton III, Caila, and Caitlin Baldwin, Jason Elliott, Janila Watkins, Jarriel Douglas, Jacobly Vedol and Jahiran Johnson. Son of the late William Patterson, Sr. and Mable Roussell Patterson. Grandson of the late Rev. Ernest Roussell, Sr. and Beulah Gasper Roussell. Brother of Gregory (Kathy) Patterson, Sr., William (Jackie) Patterson, Allen (Adonis) Patterson, Ken Patterson, Kathy Patterson, and the late Pamela Patterson Byes, Paulette Patterson Zeno, Marsha and Basil Patterson. Father-in law of Clinton Baldwin, Jr. and Robert Johnson, Sr. Godson of Ann Roussell. Mark is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Calvary International Worship Center, Good Hope Baptist Church, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; employee of DePaul Community Center, Jefferson Parish Public Schools, Jefferson Parish Department of Public Works, and West Jefferson Medical Center CCU are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mount Calvary International Worship Center, 1600 Westwood Drive Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
