MARISELA MENDEZ CHIASSON

Marisela “Marcie” Mendez Chiasson passed away very peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the age of 55. She was a native of Brownsville, TX and a resident of Marrero, LA. She was a graduate of Phillips Junior College where she obtained a Paralegal Associates Degree. Marcie was dedicated to homeschooling her children. She was a member and treasurer of Grace Home Educators Fellowship and a member of Christian Home Educators Fellowship of Greater New Orleans. He was a woman of strong faith and belief in Jesus.  Beloved wife of Ted Sheddrick Chiasson for more than 26 years. Dedicated mother of Luther Jerrelle Bishop, III, Sarah Grace Chiasson and Marisela Isabel Chiasson. Adored grandmother of Luther Jerrelle Bishop, IV, Kyle Josiah Bishop, Cade Steven Bishop and Mia Grace Bishop. Daughter of the late Melquiadez “Mike” Mendez, Sr. and Maria Olivares Mendez.  Sister of Magdalena “Maggie” (Robert) Leblanc, Meliza (Honorio) Pina, Myrtala “Mattie” (Kevin) Ausbrooks, and Melquiadez “Mike” Mendez, II.  Daughter-in-law of Mary Brown Hill and the late Sheddrick Joseph Chiasson. Sister-in-law of Anna Chiasson Thomas, Ashley Hill and Monica Chiasson.  Marcie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom she loved so much. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
