MARGUERITE WOODEN

Marguerite Wooden entered eternal rest at Marrero Healthcare Center on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the age of 88. She was a native of Donaldsonville, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Marguerite was a graduate of Lowery High School. She retired from Ochsner Hospital as a nursing assistant. Mother of Leon Wooden, Tyrone Dorsey, and the late Lydia Wooden. Grandmother of the late Brian and Darrious Wooden. Daughter of the late Oscar Wooden, Sr., and Bessie Forcell Wooden. Sister of Mary Ann Perkins, and the late Alice Wooden, Ernestine Wooden, and Naquin Gertrude Wooden. Marguerite is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 242 Avondale Garden Rd., Avondale, LA on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. Pastor Damian J. Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Ama, LA.
