MARGIE MARIE WALLS

Margie Marie Walls, age 79, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Margie was a graduate od Booker T. Washington High School. She was a retied cook of Harbor Restaurant and Lounge. Margie was a member of New Zion Baptist Church of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Hubert Bernard Walls, Jr. Loving mother of Azucena Douse (Darryl) Faye Walls, and Hubert Bernard Walls III.  Daughter of the late Bill L. Ellis and Ollie Faye Lewis. Granddaughter of the late Cedrick Lewis and Mary Esther Pittman. Sister of Barbara Bateast, Kathy Smith, Delores Theodore (Lionel), Jessie Ford, and the late Charles Ellis.  Margie is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members New Zion Baptist Church of Marrero and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Albert Simms, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
