MABLE LEE HAYES BRUCE

Mable Lee Bruce entered eternal rest at Vitas Inpatient Hospice in Dallas, TX on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the age of 85, surrounded by her eldest son. She was a native of Woodville, MS, a former resident of Bridge City, LA and presently residing in Irving, TX. After relocating to Texas, Mable became a member of Ben Washington Baptist Church where she attended with her daughter and caregiver until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Loving mother of Wade (Trudy) Bruce of Virginia Beach, VA, Marilyn (Derek) Stevenson of Irving, TX, John (Missy) Bruce of Collins, MS, and Tony Lawrence of New Orleans, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Carrie Bell Hayes. Sister of Clarence Hayes, Jr., Mary (John) Griffin, and Pearl Porter all of New Orleans, LA. Mable is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above-named parlor.
