MABLE WELLS COOK

Mable Wells Cook entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA (Algiers Cutoff Community). Mable was educated in the New Orleans Parish School System. Beloved wife of the late Harold J. Cook. Loving mother of Sylvia C. Simmons, Gloria Cook, Harold (Deitrice) Cook, Jr., Tony (Charlotte) Cook, and Don Cook. Daughter of the late Mary Augustine. Sister of the late Louise Butler, Oscar Wells, Joseph Wells, Emile Wells, and Robert Brooks, also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarene Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Second Nazarene Baptist Church 3062 Boyd St. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above named church.
