Pastor Louis Edward Phenix, Jr., age 74, completed his earthly journey on Monday, March 7, 2022, at his residence. He was a native and resident of Bridge City, LA. Rev. Phenix attended Lincoln High School, and was a 1984 graduate of Christian Bible College, where he earned a Bachelor of Divinity Degree. Pastor Phenix gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was ordained in the ministry on August 30, 1985, at Second Salvation Baptist Church by Westside Missionary Baptist Association. Answering the call to Pastor, he established and was the founder of First King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church. Through his preaching, teaching and leadership he led many to accept Christ as their personal Savior for over 36 years. He remained faithful until his health began to decline. Pastor Phenix vision to bring pastors together in prayer led him to form Fellowship of Ministers. He also, mentored at risk youth opportunities to change their life through the Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge of Louisiana. Beloved husband of Sherryl Brooks Phenix. Loving father of Louis E. (Deadra) Phenix III, Michael Phenix, Linell (Glen) Davis, Rosalind Phenix, Pricilla Clement, Brian Phenix, and Ryan Phenix. Son of the late Louis Phenix, Sr, and Shirley Harden Glasper. Devoted brother of Willie Glasper, Jr., Richard Phoenix, Byron Phoenix, Grace Brown, and the late William Bernhart and Percy Glasper. Pastor Phenix is also survived by 12 cherished grandchildren, 11 adored great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Westside Missionary Baptist Association are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L.
