LLOYD PHILLIP COOPER

Lloyd Phillip Cooper entered peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the age of 77. He was a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Lloyd was a 1962 graduate of Magnolia High School, and a retired car salesman with Rainbow Automotive. Loving father of Loren Cooper, Brian (Venice) Cooper, Tracy (Clement) Jasmin, and Darren (Pamela) Johnson. Son of the late Junius J. Cooper and Amelia Harrison Cooper. Grandson of the late Wallace Cooper, Evelie Adam Cooper, Morris Harrison, and Izetta Butler Harrison.  Brother of Jackie Cooper, Sr., Morris (Alriner) Cooper, Sr., Joseph Cooper, Lydia Small, Jennifer Baker of Euless, TX, Evelie C. Wilson, and the late Clifford Cooper.  Former husband of 45 year to Gwendolyn Weber Cooper. Lloyd is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Public Viewing at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. Private family Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00a.m. Father Sidney Speaks, celebrant Recitation of Rosary 8:45a.m., Tribute to Follow.
