LISETTE RACHEL SEARS

Lisette Rachel Sears entered eternal rest at her residence surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at the age 71. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Lisette was a graduate of L.W. Higgins High School Class of 1970. She continued her studies at the University of New Orleans obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Lisette was a retired Rehab Instructor for Metropolitan Developmental Center (Belle Chasse State School). Devoted godmother of Brian L. Sears, Lakeisha S. (Ronald) Bevley, and Devin (Ahkeiya) Cole whom she loved like a son. Beloved daughter of the late Robert, Sr. and Elizabeth Sears. Granddaughter of the late William and Victoria S. Marshall and Cleo Turner. Sister of Amanda S. Johnson, Cleo “Vicki” Sears, Renita (Charles) Pitts, Robert (Des) Sears, Jr., Marshall (Lenovia) Sears, Reginald (Dionne) Washington, Sr., and the late Lalita Cole, Philip Sears, Raymos Sears, Sr., George Sears, Marhsa Lenox, and Roberta Sears. Niece of the late Mildred Moody, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Minister Charles Landry of Regular Baptist Church officiating.
