LIONEL MICHAEL ZARDERS, SR.

Lionel M. Zarders Sr. departed this life at his residence on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, age the age of 81. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Lionel was a retired Hostler of Regional Transit Authority (RTA). Beloved husband of the late Paulette Zarders. Loving father of Lionel M. (Leatrice) Zarders, Jr., Keith M. (Sharon) Zarders Sr., and Paula (Albert) Ricard. Grandfather of Maurice Holmes, Larresa Phillips, Carrissa Holmes, Katelyn Zarders, Keith Zarders Jr., Annmarie and Christina Gilmore, Alyssa and Alexis Ricard, and the late Lionel Crain and Lance Zarders. Son of the late Louis and Clementine L. Zarders. Brother of Mitchell Zarders of Morena Valley CA., and the late Clementine Zarders Morgan, Rose Zarders Wilson, and Louis Zarders Jr. Devoted uncle of two faithful nieces Linda Morgan Lewis and Ann Zarders Steward. Brother-in-law of Opal Zarders of Morena Valley CA., Brenda Antoine, and Michael Duplessis Sr. Godfather of Angela M. Washington, also survived by six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Lionel will be sadly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of International Mariner Terminals, LSU Cancer Center, Tulane University, DoubleTree Hotel, Veterans Administration, Brennan Behavior Group, Tarantino Properties, and Groendyke Transportation are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Minister Keith M.
