Lillie Mae Rose Bunch, age 90, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, December 2, 2022. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. “Aunt Lil”, as she was affectionately known, was God fearing, fun-loving, kind, generous, and had an infectious smile. Her home was always welcoming, family and friends looked forward to her good cooking and gracious hospitality. Lillie loved to shop and was fond of quality merchandise. Devoted and proud military wife of the late Webster Bunch, Jr. Loving mother of the late Lori Ann Bunch. Nurturing grandmother of Lauren Celeste Bunch. Daughter of the late Elijah Rose, Sr., and Lizzie Stokes Rose. Granddaughter of the late Joshua Stokes and Millie Jefferson Stokes. Sister of Lionel (the late Marie) Rose, Clarence “Pelo” (Sophia) Rose, Vincent “Scoody” (Kathy) Stokes, and Doris Rose. Goddaughter and niece of the late Millie Stokes Brown. Aunt of Mayume Macdonald, Elijah Rose III, Bryan Rose, Eddie Rose, Jr, Jimmy Rose, Kenny Rose, Harold Green, Jr., Reginald Green, Lisa Green Fuller, Marvin Green, Garland Rose, Darren Rose, Angela Rose, Alvin Rose, Wayne Rose, Adam Rose, Kendall Stokes, and Kory Michael Stokes. Devoted cousin of Susan Borden Massenburg. Godmother of Brian Clements and Semaj “Lynn” Jenkins. Sister-in-law of Harold Green, Sr.; also survived by a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mark Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at St. Mark Baptist Church, 421 Wiltz Lane, New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
