LEROY LANDRY

Leroy Landry entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 70. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Leroy was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was formerly employed as a painter and sandblaster with Avondale Shipyard and McDermott Constructions. Leroy later became a self-employed construction worker. Beloved husband of 51 years to Jacqueline Chess Landry. Devoted father of James Hobbs III, Danielle Landry, Nicole Landry (Shawn) Boudreaux, Sterlin (De’Luv) Landry, and Krystle Landry. Loving grandfather of Courtney Casey, Gabrielle Hobbs, Wayneisha Beverly, My’Kaylan Fairman, Linae Landry, Da’Shonya Beverly, Tyrien Fazande, MaKayla Landry, Ty’Jae Fazande, Mya Landry, Shaylin Landry, Destini Landry, and Willoh Shears. Son of the late David Landry, Jr. and Mary Rose Williams Landry. Brother of Rose Williams (Warren) Harris, David Landry III, Larry (Priscilla) Landry, Allen (Sherry) Williams, and the late Patricia Ann Landry.  Brother-in-law of Johnnie (Cynthia) Chess, Horace Chess, Mary (Al) Thomas, Clementine (Rodney) Williams, Esther Chess, and the late Willie Dean Bailey, Eveling, Wendell, and Edward Chess. Leroy is also survived by his goddaughter Lisa Landry-Cole, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
