LEROY JACKSON, SR.

Leroy Jackson, Sr., age 86, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Leroy was a professional boxer and a former employee of Ozone Water Company. He was also an entrepreneur, who owned a pool hall and grocery store for many years. Leroy was a member of Royal Ace Social and Pleasure Club and held the office of president 10 years. Loving father of Paulette Jackson, Leroy Jackson, Jr., Leonard Jackson, Sharon Jackson, Patricia Jackson, Louise Jackson Harris, and the late Misette Jackson. Grandfather of Quinton, Brittany, Lynette, Keisha, Chad, Brandon, Dana, Linnie, Ashley, Donovan, Daniel, Willis, Terrell, and Dae’shawn. Beloved son of the late Henry Jackson and Elise Mayfield. Brother of Henry Jackson, Jr. and the late Harold and Donald Higgins, Leonard Brown, and Nicholas Jackson. Former husband of the late Lillie Mae Jackson Thomas. Leroy is also survived by 30 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
