Leroy Dabney, Jr. transitioned on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the age of 87. He was a native of Crystal Springs, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Leroy was employed with Avondale Shipyard as a truck driver for over 30 years. Beloved husband of the late Emelda Dabney. Loving father of Leroy Dabney III, Gwendolyn Dabney, Edwin Lofton, and the late Carla Ann Dabney. Great grandfather of the late Wyndell Jones III. Son of the late Leroy Dabney, Sr. and Janie Sumrall Dabney. Brother of Mary and Martha Jackson, L J Dabney, Edward Earl Dabney, and the late Bertha Banks, and Willie Fred Dabney. Father-in-law of the late Gwen Lofton.  Leroy is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to thank The Sanctuary of Passages Hospice for their care and compassion.
