Leonard B. Smith, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at University Medical Center at the age of 45. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved husband of Benita Brewer-Smith. Devoted father of Leonard B. Smith, Jr., Amerie Joseph, Darion Cole, Christopher Cole, Christina Cole, Lenora Cole, and Lilnard Cole. Son of Leonard Bridgewater and Donna Smith. Grandson of the late Henry and Dorothy Edwards, Fred and Rachael Bridgewater. Brother of Danny Smith, Michael Edwards, Larry Smith, Sr., Calvin Smith, Thomas Smith, Charles Joseph, Leonard Harris, Sr., Teddy Jefferson, Lamar Cole, Leondias Bridgewater, Dorothy Smith, Olivia Smith, Rosa Joseph, Tiffany Smith, Kendra Martin, Valencia Green, Lebnora Harris, and the late Henry Hall, Manny Smith, and Pearl Hall. Leonard is also survived by 1 grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.  Interment: Will be Private.
