Leonard Anderson, age 79, transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Columbus, GA. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired Postal Worker. Beloved husband of Debrah Lee Anderson by 2^nd marriage, and the late Dorothy D. Anderson by 1^st marriage. Loving father of Melvin (Regina) Dais of Columbus, GA, Debra Davis, Calvin Davis, Laura (Rev. Alvin W.) Tate, Mamie Lightell, Melvin Lee, Angela Lee, Sharon Lee, and the late Gilbert, Beverly, and John Davis. Grandfather of the late Dashan Davis.; he was preceded in death by 1 great grandson. Son of the late Robert and Emily N. Anderson. Grandson of the late Rebecca Burn. Brother of Ronnie Anderson of TN, Shirley Floyd of TX, and Mary Lee Perkins. Son-in-law of Beatrice Ross. Brother-in-law of Willie Jean Anderson, Claude (Bessie) Benton, and Gerald (Kimberly) Benton.  Leonard is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Israelite Baptist Church, Ararat Missionary Baptist Church, Philadelphia Christian Church, Locust Hill Baptist Church of Columbus, GA, and Believers Life Family Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY, MARRERO, LA on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00a.m.   Rev. Alvin W. Tate, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
