Leo James Brown, Sr.

Leo James Brown, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the age of 67. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Leo was a graduate of L.B. Landry High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1979. Beloved husband of the late Alice Gillard Brown. Loving father of Twanna, Leo, Jr, and Tempestt. Grandfather of Alice Bush, Leo’n Brown, Uris Bush, Lion Brown, Jahseh Payne, and Temple Payne. Son of Teresa Lainez Brown and the late George Brown. Brother of George Brown, Jr., Thelma (Don) Walters, and Dale Brown. Uncle of Don (Roshawna) Walters, Jr., and   Euriah (John) Brown. Nephew of Henry Brown and Ida Cambrice. Devoted lifelong friend of Don Walters, Sr., John A. Brunet, Jr., and Kirk LeSassier, also survived by a host of other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, priest, and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church, also pastors, officers, and members Shiloh Baptist Church; L.B. Landry Class of 1973; members of the Jugs Social Club/NOMTOC, and Original Junior Jugs are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time.
