Lawrence Anthony Martin Jr. departed this life at the V. A. Medical Center on Saturday August 21, 2021, at the age of 71. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Lawrence was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School and Delgado Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Lawrence received several commendations for his bravery, the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was a retired Regional Transit Authority Bus Driver. Devoted husband of Lydia Susie Martin. Beloved father of Brandon Martin, Byron Martin, Lawrence Martin III, Isaac Palmer, Scorelander Johnson, Torell Palmer, Angela Martin, and the late Anthony Martin.  Son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Marie Teresa Martin. Brother of Freddie Martin, Alvin Martin, Whitney Martin, Yolanda Smith, and Anesa Dyer. Lawrence is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and Friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE 230 MONROE ST.
