LARRY WILSON

Larry Wilson departed this life at Veterans Affairs Hospital on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the age of 70. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Larry was self-employed and served his country in the United States Army. Loving husband of Glenda Wilson. Beloved father of Luceinda, Angela, and Joshua. Grandfather of Sheldon, Akiyah, Aniyah, and Jace Wilson. Gregory Jordan, Jayden Martin, and Cornell Jackson, III. Son of the late Carol Phillips and Lillie Pearl Atkins. Brother of Joyce Atkins Cole, Taylor Atkins, Jr., Linda Atkins Brooks, and the late Alma Ruth and Robert Bradley, and Gloria Jean Atkins, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1701 Estalote Ave. Harvey, LA on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Rickey Johnson, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery- Slidell, LA on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 12:00p.m.
