LAMARION SWANGAIN

LaMarion Merl Swangain, age 79, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was a native of Tylertown, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA. LaMarion was a graduate of J. J. Gulledge High School. She was a retired Cab Driver and owner of a Catering Company. Loving mother of Margie Faye Swangain and the late Benny Earl Swangain. Beloved daughter of the late Julius Conerly and Leila Smith. Granddaughter of the late Richard Price and Leal James. Sister of the late Doughlas Smith, Bernell Smith, and Betty Quinn. Former wife of Cleophas Swangain. Also cherishing her memories are 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Hope Baptist Church, New Tree of Life Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at New Tree of Life Baptist Church, 3140 Erato Street, New Orleans, LA at 10:00a.m. Pastor Reynaldo King, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
