Lachandra Michelle “Chan” Jackson closed the final chapter of her life on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the age of 41. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Lachandra was a graduate of Orleans Parish Public School System, and she later furthered her education at Southern University of New Orleans. Devoted mother of Zoe Harris, daughter of Will Harris. Beloved daughter of Leonard James and the late Laverne Jackson. Granddaughter of the late Eli, Sr. and Bertha Jackson. Sister of Lynetta Williams, Leonard Williams, and the late Tony Williams. Loving niece of Marcello, Joann, Joyce, Lillian, Kermit and Rodney Jackson, and the late Cynthia Jackson Anderson, Eli Jr., Wallace, and Kenneth Jackson. Great niece of Celeste and Viola Ruffin. Loving goddaughter of Elaine Ruffin; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Olive Branch Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
