Kevin Robert Cole entered into eternal rest at his residence surrounded by family on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the age of 66. He was a native of New Orleans LA and a resident of Marrero LA. Kevin was educated in the Orleans Parish Public School System and graduated from L. B. Landry High School in 1976. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University in 1981. For 40 years, Kevin served as the Vice President of Dockside Lineman, Inc. He was a devoted professional, who took great pride in giving opportunities to young men who had a desire to work and provide for their families. This was his calling. For 35 years, Kevin owned and operated Kevin Delivery, Inc. This distribution and courier service was the sole New Orleans area contractor for Where Magazine for over 30 years, until the publication ended its print distribution. The Algiers native will forever be remembered as a gifted athlete in his youth and a well respected businessman. However, his most important role was the family patriarch. Devoted husband of the late Yolanda Brown Cole. Beloved father of Shalanda Cole Bibbins (Ryan) and Kivana Cole Smith (Kalvin). Grandfather of Kevin, Mignon, Kalvin Jr. and Ryan Jr. Son of the late Leonard Cole and Ruth Rainey Cole. Grandson of the late Andrew Pierce and Laura Fontenette Pierce. Brother of Darryl Cole, Devin Cole, Eunice Cole, Shelita Cole, Jessica Cole and the late Deidra Calvin, Oblanda and Cheryl who passed away in infancy. Kevin also leaves behind his beloved Uncle Herbert and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches; LB Landry alumni, Tulane University alumni; employees of Dockside Lineman, Inc., Kevin Delivery, Inc. and Port of New Orleans are invited to attend the celebration of his life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L B Landry Ave., New Orleans, LA on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time. Internment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, Westwego, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
