KERRY JACKSON

Kerry Jackson entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the age of 62. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Kerry attended Job Corps in Portland OR, where he received a trade in welding. He was employed as a welder /pipefitter with Gulf Island (General Dynamic). Son of Ishmael Jackson and Hazel Brooks Jackson. Grandson of the late Joseph A. Jackson, Earl M. Brooks, Henrietta R. Jackson, and Eva Johnson. Brother of Torrey (Barbara) Jackson of Ruston, LA, Carla Jackson, Angela (Don) Jackson of Buford, GA, and Pamela Jackson. Companion of Bridgete Thomas, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1515 Whitney Ave. Gretna, LA on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith E. Thornton, Sr., Host Pastor - Elder Herbert Coleman officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
