KEONDRA ALISE PREVOST

Keondra Alise Prevost, age 34, a successful entrepreneur and fashionista, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was a native of Harvey, LA, a former resident of Hammond, LA and presently residing in Gretna, LA. Keondra attended St. Thomas Aquinas High, Hammond High School, and was a graduate of Spring High School in Houston, TX. She earned a basketball scholarship to attend Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS, where she received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development. Keondra later attended the University of New Orleans (UNO). She followed in the footsteps of her parents, partnering with them in the family business, as a Financial Analyst with Primerica Financial Services for the past 12 years. She was a natural leader and mentor, with impeccable work ethics, inspiring others with her dedication and vision. Keondra’s entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit extended beyond financial services, as she launched a second business, Shessoboss, LLC a custom wig design business, skills learned and perfected from her grandmother Ethel M. White. Her talent for glamour and beauty shined brightly in all her designs. Through her unique fashionista skills, niche for sassy décor, and gift for hairstyling, she blessed countless individuals, helping them look and feel their best. Keondra was a beacon of inspiration to all who were fortunate to know her. Her radiant smile, generosity, and unwavering love will never be forgotten. Devoted mother of Kennedy Gabrielle Osagie and Kaydence Abigail Prevost. Beloved daughter of Kenneth Prevost, Sr. and Joyclen Prevost. Loving sister of Kenneth Prevost, Jr. and Dartanyon Rogers. Granddaughter of Ethel M. White, Rosemary W. Prevost, Leon Taylor White, Sr., and the late Joseph Mickey Prevost. Niece of Leontine Foster, Leslie White, Doncellia White, Youlondar Prevost, Sheron Prevost, Sharon (Alton) McClendon, Martha (Michael) Downing, Shazmond White, Kevin Prevost, Kirk (Dana) Prevost, Kyle (Sharlayne) Prevost, and Carl (Nicole) Mitchell. Also left to cherish her memories, her devoted godmother Trennis W. Simmons, first cousins/sisters, Whitney White and Desari Foster, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church of Marrero, LA , Beacon Light of Hammond, LA and all neighboring churches; members of Hammond High School Class of 2008; employees and colleagues of Primerica Financial Services and Crescent City Family Services; faculty, staff and students of Arden Cahill Academy of Gretna, and Academy of Our Lady High of Marrero are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Mount Calvary International Worship Center,1600 Westwood Drive, Marrero, LA on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10:00a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage, host pastor; Bishop J. Nelson Brown, officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m. -10:00a.m. ONLY at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to support her daughters, Kennedy and Kaydence, as they carry forward their mother’s incredible legacy.
