KELVIN DIVINITY

Kelvin Divinity entered eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, December 30, 2023, surrounded by family at the age of 61. He was a native of New Orleans, LA., and a resident of Harvey, LA. “Kevin”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, attended West Jefferson High School, and he later worked with Rupp U-Haul, Divinity Bus Service, and SGPS Show Rig locations in Atlanta, GA and New Orleans, LA. Loving father of Jamesheia Blackwell (Eric) Jackson, Martina (Cornelius) Gordon, Ivionne  Divinity (Jimmy) McFarland, Delvin (Arielle) Adams, and Dakota Lewis. Devoted son of Melodis Davis Divinity and the late Louis E. Divinity, Sr. Brother of Brenda Jones, Levette Divinity, Sharon Divinity Hunter, Bryant (Zelda) Divinity and the late Louis E. Divinity, Jr., also survived by 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, offices, and members of New Salem Church of Christ Holiness, U.S.A., and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:00a.m. Pastor George Taylor, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the parlor.
