KATHERINA KELLY SMITH

Katherina Kelly Smith entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 89. She was a native of Jackson, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Katherina was educated in the Madison County School System in Jackson, MS. She retired from Touro Infirmary after 57 years in the Dietary Department. Beloved wife of the late Alton Smith, Sr. Stepmother of Alton Smith, Jr. Daughter of the late Robert Kelly, Sr. and Betty Crawford. Loving sister of Joel (Rhonda) Morrison, Frankie (Shirlee) Morrison, and the late Eunice Kelly (Eli) Lewis, Robert (Barbara) Kelly, Sr., and Willie Morrison. Katherina is also survived b a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA on Friday, April 14, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
