KAREN STEWART LEWIS

Karen Stewart Lewis entered peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the age of 62. She was a native of Bridge City, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Karen was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and continued her studies at Southern University at New Orleans, where she obtained an Associate Degree. She retired from Hibernia National Bank after many years of dedicated service as a Loan Officer. Loving wife of Clyde P. Lewis. Devoted mother of Kyle P. Lewis and Kalen M. Lewis. Beloved daughter of the late Rev. Richard Stewart, Sr. and Dorothy James Stewart. Sister of Richard Stewart, Jr., John Stewart, Demetrius Stewart, Vincent Stewart, Janet Stewart, Deborah (Anthony) Young, Dorothy Johnson, Felisha Charles, and the late Gregory James, Michael Stewart, David Stewart, Anthony Stewart, Albert James, and Anqinell Stewart. Also cherishing her memories is her aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, offices, and members, of Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Rock Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road, Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor T. A. Ranson, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.  Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
