Karen Denise Favors Jones

Karen Denise Favors Jones passed away at University Medical Center on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the age of 62. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Karen was employed as a License Practical Nurse. Devoted mother of Janique (Nathan) Dixon and Launard (Tonda) Jones, Sr. Loving grandmother of Antolen Marcus, Jr., Delandra “Deja” Marcus, Tahj Mitchell, Ty Casimier, Launard Jones, Jr., Legend Jones, and Aaiden Henry. Daughter of the late Herman and Hilda Favors.  Sister of Thommie (Glenda) Favors, Linda (Derrick) Crosby, and the late Herman Favors, Jr., who died shorty after her. Sister-in-law of Lena Favors; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
