KAREN JENISE DAVIS

Karen Jenise Davis, age 61, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the age of 61. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Karen was a 1981 graduate of L. W. Higgins High School and was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a former employee of Wynhoven Health Care Center and Woldenberg Village. Devoted mother of Jarred A. Davis of Southhaven, MS. Beloved daughter of Sylvester Davis and the late Paulette S. Davis. Granddaughter of the late Southern and Merine Sanders, Columbus and Melissa Davis. Loving sister of Marlyn D. Davis and the late Mark Otis Sanders, Jr. Karen is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members, of Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1500 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Elder Keith E. Thornton, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
