JOYCE WATKINS BELL

Joyce A. Bell entered eternal rest on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the age of 64. She was a native and resident of Gretna, LA. Joyce earned an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She was employed in the Jefferson Parish Public School System as a teacher for 30 years. Devoted wife of the late Rev. Ronald Lee Bell. Beloved mother of Chanell Bell, Lakyna Bell (Christopher) Rodriguez, Staci Bell, and Traion Bell. Daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Clarence Watkins and Margaret Watkins. Sister of Delores (Arthur) Kelly, Patricia Watkins, Dimitri Patterson, Gail Watkins, Desirae Webber, Eric (Phyllis) Watkins, and the late Clarence Watkins, III, Jerome Watkins, and Clifford Watkins, Sr. Daughter in law of the late Lubertha S. Watkins. Sister in law of Donald (Velvian) Bell, Linda Watkins (Clarence Tillman), Deborah (Timmy) Harvey, Patricia Watkins, and the late Gilbert Bell, and Mark Patterson, also survived by 6 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Good Hope Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Good Hope Baptist Church 2028 Weyer St. Gretna, LA on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above named church.
