JOSIAH DEVANTE CARTER

Josiah “J5” Carter went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September17, 2022 at the age of 17. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Josiah was a student at McDonogh 35 College Preparatory High School, where he was in his senior year. Beloved son of Alfred and Shemecka. Loving brother of Jeremiah, Brandon, Arnell, Miracle, A’myla, and Jaliyah. Grandson of Fredidra (Kevin), Ocie (Elaine), Arnel, Gail (James), and Glenda. Nephew of Shinicka (Donnell) and Shermichael, (Shebrenna).  Godson of Marqules and Kadeisha. Josiah is also survived by the Jones family of Donaldsonville, his special friend Chaz, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Abba’s of Prayer Ministries, Kingdom of Life Ministry, Warriors for Christ Prayer Ministries, and all neighboring churches; faculty, staff and students of McDonogh 35 College Preparatory High School, Robert Moton Elementary School, and Inspire NOLA Schools are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Minister Fredidra Howard, officiating  Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
