Josephine Jones Brown

Josephine Brown, age 78, departed this life on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Josephine was educated in Orleans Parish Public School System and was self-employed. Beloved wife of the late Terry Brown. Loving mother of Lisa (Robert) Jackson, Tarry (Quiana) Brown, Lastacia (Royce) Jackson, Derrick (Keiara) Brown, Likisha (Jared) Ratcliff, and the late Penny Carter. Daughter of the late Eli Jones, Sr. and Josephine Lozan Jones. Sister of the late Eli Jones, Jr., Joyce Ann Williams, Vera Jones Johnson, Barbara Ann Charles, Lois Ann Williams, and Marion Jones.  Josephine is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
