JOSEPH BERNARD DIVINITY

Joseph Bernard Divinity, Sr., age 88, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was a native of Carpenter, MS and a resident of Harvey, LA. Joseph honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a retired Welder and Barber. Beloved husband of the late Lorean Divinity. Devoted father of Trenise Murphy, Joseph Divinity, Jr., Kelvin Divinity, Nicole Divinity, Antonia Divinity, Keyonia Divinity, and the late Shelita Domini Divinity. Son of the late Ernest Divinity, Sr. and Velma Wilson. Stepson of the late Ellis Wilson. Loving brother of Percy Frank Thomas, Rosie Watts, Mary Lillian Harris, and the late Cornell Divinity, Ernest Lee Divinity, and Leroy Divinity. Also cherishing his memories are 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Israel Baptist Church, Greater White Oak Missionary Baptist Church of Utica, MS and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Wake Service at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther Street, Harvey, LA on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m. Homegoing Celebration will be held at Greater White Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 5142 Hwy 18, Utica, MS on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 12:00p.m.  Interment: White Oak Cemetery-Utica, MS.
