Joseph Edward Bruster Sr. departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the age of 73. He was a native of Woodville, MS and a resident of Westwego, LA. Joseph was a retired truck driver with Dixie Produce Packing Company for over 30 years.
Beloved husband of 40 years to the late Alfreda Bruster. Loving father of Leslie (James) Bruster, JoAnn Bruster, Zana (Kristerffer) Liddell, Zhivago (Ashley) Liddell, Valicia Liddell, Felicia Bruster-Burton, Joseph Bruster Jr., and the late Marsha Ann. Son of the late James Bruster, Sr. and Ethel Wallace. Brother-in-law of Daisy Polk-Woods, Donna Polk, Janice Polk, Freddie Polk, Stanley Polk, Sr., and Calvin Polk Sr., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church, St. Stephen Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at St. Stephen Baptist Church 1738 L. B. Landry Ave New Orleans, LA. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:00a.m.
Pastor Norman Francis Host Pastor / Pastor Leonard Franklin officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
