Joseph Berry, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the age of 81. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Joseph was a retired employee of Lakewood Country Club. After retirement he enjoyed working in his garden, taking long walks in the neighborhood and spending time with his grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Berry. Loving father of Josetta B. (John) Edmond, Roxann Lewis, and Joseph (Toya) Berry, Jr. Proud grandfather of Kevin Wilson, Jr., Jordan J. Berry, Marvin Edmond, and Mellinda Edmond. Son of the late Rousell, Sr. and Lucille Franklin Berry. Brother of the late Roussell Berry, Jr., Ivory Berry, Sr., Isiah “Porkchop” August Berry, Sr., Della Ross, Yvonne Riley, Ruth Price, and Leontine Ellison. Brother-in-law of Yvonne Berry, Raymond Ellison and the late Florence Sullen, Corine Williams, Clara Mae Sanders, Solomon Bangs, Jr., Wilbert Sullen, Shirley Sullen, Ora Lee (Alvin, Sr.) Mosley, and Isabell Green. Godfather of Tina Ellison; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
