Jonathan Davis entered eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the age of 72. He was a native of Carlisle, MS and a resident of Harvey, LA. Jonathan attended Lincoln High School, and he retired from Gretna Machine and Iron Works as a welder. He was a talented bass guitarist, who played with several bands. Father of Jonisha Cennett-Garcia, DeJoshua Williams, Sr., Jeremy Johnathan Davis, and Shondraka Antoine. Grandfather of DeJoshua Williams, Jr., Da’yon Williams, Dyler Williams, Londyn Williams, Emerie Rose Davis, Alexis Antoine, Jarmar Antoine, Emosha Butler, Mikal Carney, and the late Jordan Butler. Son of the late John S. Davis and Jennie Davis. Brother of John S. (Barbara) Davis, Jr., Troy Davis, Ada (James) Robinson, and Jennie Nash, and the late Diana Taylor. Brother-in-law of the late Benny Taylor, Sr., Isabella Davis, and Herbert Nash. Jonathan is also survived by 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of White Chapel Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches; the Harvey community; employees of Lambeth House, Walgreens Drug Store, Pacific Railroad, AM Global, and St. Joseph of Harahan are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10 am.
