JOHN L. WILSON

John L. Wilson entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 79. He was a native of Utica, MS and a resident of Harvey, LA for over 60 years. John was a graduate of William H. Holtzlaw in Utica, MS. He was a former employee with H C Price Company and Ankor Wade as a foreman. John was the owner and operator of a Sweet Shop and Arcade, and he also grew and sold fresh produce for many years. Beloved father of Linda L. Johnson. Son of the late James and Marie Wilson. Brother of Donald Wilson, and the late Ananias (Ham) Wilson, Ellis Wilson, Isaiah Wilson, L.C. Wilson, Marie Hawkins, and Lillie Mae McClure. Beloved uncle of Brenda M. Truitt, also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Frederick L. Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the parlor. Graveside Service will be held at Institute Missionary Baptist Church 1054 Chapman Rd.
