John Henry Elloie, age 75, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, May 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and resident New Orleans, LA. John retired from New Orleans Regional Transit Authority after 33 years of service as a Bus Driver. He was also employed with the Times Picayune Newspaper for 15 years. John served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was an active member of Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club. Beloved husband of Joan Elloie. Devoted father of Dionne Roby, Blaine Elloie, Steven Elloie, Sr., Jason Elloie, Sr., and Kendrick Taylor. Son of the late Henry Elloie and Malvania McElwee. Grandson of the late Sheldon Malarchar, Robert and Julia Jones. Loving brother of Kenneth (Gilda) Malarchar, Toni Terrell, and the late Gilbert Seals, Robert Franklin, and Barbara Albert. Father-in-law of the late Lloyd Roby, Jr. John is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, and Free Masons are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
