JOAN CARPENTER

Joan Carpenter entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the age 57. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. “Tiny”, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was educated in the Jefferson Parish School System. Beloved mother of Michael (Angel) Carpenter, Brandy (Gregg) Poree, and Lacey (Antonio) Harding. Loving grandmother of Jarard, Jeremiah, London, Tarajia, Antonio, Jr., Michael, Jr., Major, and Jasmine. Daughter of the late John Carpenter and Katherine Smith Carpenter. Sister of Carmen (Thomas) Rhodes, Seth (Wakesha) Carpenter, Larry Brown, and the late Lance Carpenter, Hope Saul, and Mary Sims, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives, and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Westwego Church of God in Christ, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Westwego Church of God in Christ 130 Louisiana St. Westwego, LA on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
