JIMMY JOHN LANETTE

Jimmy John Lanette entered peacefully into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 84. He was a native of Jennings, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Jimmy was a retired Longshoreman Foreman. Beloved husband of the late Lois Walker-Lanette. Loving father of Darrell Lanette, Gilbert Lanette, Vivian Nevis, Brian Gilmore, Tanya Gilmore-Reese, and the late Jimmy John Lanette, Jr. Son of the late Ambrose and Ethel Lennette, Mytheal Rideau, and Willis Washington, Sr. Brother of Darrell Washington, Patrick Mclish Lennette, Patrick McKinnly Lennette, Wilbert Lennette, Jane Mouton, Susie Pattum, Patricia Lennette, Janethel Withers, Jackie Varner, and Ethel Mae Lennette. Also cherishing his memories are 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Christian Life Bible Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Christian Life Bible Church, 16 Westbank Expressway Gretna, LA on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
