JESSIE MAE BENNETT

Jessie Mae Bennett entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the age of 81. She was a native of Woodville, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Jessie was a graduate of McDonogh 35 High School. She was a retired housekeeper with Touro Hospital. Devoted wife of the late Joseph Bennett, Sr. Beloved mother of Sandra Bennett, Andrea Garrison, Mable Turner, Andre Bennett, Kirk Bennett, and the late Joseph Bennett, Jr. Daughter of the late Charlie Turner and Joeanna Turner. Grandmother of the late Joseph Bennett, III, Latoya Butler, and Dameon Foucher.   Sister of Irma Williams, Leonard Turner, and the late Willie Turner, Douglas Turner, Molly O’Neal, and Charlie Turner, Jr., also survived by 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
