JERROLD CLARK, SR.

Jerrold Clark, Sr passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the age of 76. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Jerrold was a graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School. He served 38 years in the US military (Navy & Army National Guard), 10 years for the State of Louisiana, and as an auto mechanic at Jackson Barrett in New Orleans, LA.  After retirement from the military and state, he worked for Goodwill Services at the Gretna Courthouse. Beloved husband of Emma Kennedy Clark. Father of Jerrold “Binky” (Wendy-Ann) Clark, Jr., of O’Fallon, IL, and Sean (Margie) Clark of Round Rock, TX. Bonus father of Nicola Kennedy, Shawntara Combs, and Shasta Brown. Son of the late Rev. Everett Clark and Sarah Boston Clark. Brother of Charles (Meg) Clark of Philadelphia, PA, Byron (Debra V) Clark, and the late Melvin Clark, Albert “Pete” Clark, Eunice Dogan, and Carol LaFrance. Brother in law of Willie (Cathy) Reid, Jr., Robert (Vernice) Reid, Sr., Beatrice Reid, and Doris J. Combs all of Philadelphia, PA, Yvonne and Hilda Clark. Favorite cousin of Adriena Jones of Calumet City, IL, Doris Magee Harris of Jackson, MS. Good friend of Ronald (Kathy) Warner, Bishop Richard (Effie) Moore, Leroy Lanlard, and Aaron Harrison, also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friend of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater South Shore Full Gospel Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral Service at Greater South Shore Full Gospel Baptist Church 7408 West Judge Perez Dr. Arabi, LA on Wednesday April 10, 2024, at 10:30a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.  Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery – Slidell, LA.
