JERROD BLACKWELL JACOBS

Jerrod B. Jacobs entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank at the age of 48. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Jerrod was a former employee with Exxon and Shell Chemical Plant as boiler maker. Devoted father of Bri’an Jefferson, Shalon Gatlin, Khadjah Thomas, Jerrod D. Jacobs, and Chase Walker. Loving son of Joseph Jacobs, Jr. and the late Hattie B. Jacobs. Grandson of the late Joseph, Sr. and Viola Jacobs, Harry, Jr. and Lucille Blackwell. Brother of Jermaine (Avril) Allen, Jermaine (Patricia) Jacobs, Angelia Bell, Jellice Jacobs (James, III) Pierre, Kippy Anthony, and Janell Jacobs (Daryl) Carey, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First Evangelist Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Evangelist Baptist Church 1801 Willow St. New Orleans, LA on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30a.am. at the above named church.
