Jerome Carter departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center main Campus on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the age of 65. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Jerome attend St. Augustine High School and was a graduate of Alcee Fortier. He was formerly employed as a truck driver. Loving father of Dionne Phillips, Shannon (Timothy) Johnson, and Ebonie Harris (Miguel) Soto. Beloved son of Dolores Ward and the late Joseph Carter, Jr. Grandson of the late Ruffin Ward, Emma Raphile, Joseph Carter, Sr. and Cecile Carter. Brother of Paulette Carter and Gabrielle (Jose’) Ker; also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Brandon Boutin of United Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church, officiating  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
