JEANNINE BOWIE HENDERSON

Jeannine Bowie Henderson entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of 71.    She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Jeannine attended All Saints Elementary School, St Mary’s Academy and L. B. Landry High School where she excelled academically. Jeannine worked at BellSouth Telecommunications for over 30 years.  She was an ardent artist, and created beautiful work which is displayed in her home. The details in her art work are simply incredible.  Many years ago, she was inspired to draw the Crowning with Thorns of our Lord Jesus Christ.  That year the painting was displayed on Good Friday at All Saints Catholic Church. She also had a passion for decorating, and she was detail - oriented with her decorating skills just as she was with her artwork.  Jeannine was an extraordinary person in many aspects of her life. Devoted wife of Alphonse Henderson. Beloved mother of Joshua A. Henderson and Justin A. Henderson.  Stepmother of Lisa Henderson and Sharon Miller.  Daughter of the late Lawrence and Betty Bowie. Sister of Yvette B. Brown (Lonnie Sr.), Raymond J. Bowie, Sr. (Sharon), and the late Lawrence J. Bowie, Jr., Michelle B. Goines, and Charles J. Bowie. Sister in law of Dora Baker (Charlie), and Ruth Farmer, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priests and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a memorial mass at All Saints Catholic Church, 1441 Teche Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Recitation of the rosary will begin at 9:00a.m. followed by readings of the Obituary and Tribute.
