JANICE HEBERT GILSON

Janice Hebert Gilson, age 82, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, June 20, 2022. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Janice was a 1958 graduate of L. B. Landry High School. She was a former employee of South Central Bell Telephone Company and a legal secretary and office manager for a law office. Janice later became employed with Hibernia National Bank as a loan processor and retired after many dedicated years of service. Devoted mother Terrel Gilson and the late Lawrence Gilson, Jr. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph, Sr. and Ester Lee Hebert. Loving sister of Joseph Hebert, Jr. and the late Dale Hebert. Janice is also survived by her godchild Courtney Robinson Burciaga, 4 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church of Gretna, and all neighboring churches; members of L. B. Landry High School Class of ’58 are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th Street Gretna, LA on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Toi A. Hodge, officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m. ONLY at the church.
