JANICE MARIE COTTON

Janice Marie Short Cotton entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Marrero, LA. Janice was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, and she attended Davenport College in Kalamazoo, MI. Beloved mother of Darryl O. Cotton, and the late Thomas Cotton, Jr. Loving grandmother of Kai Cotton, Stephen Gladney, Avari and Calvin Travis. Daughter of the late Mack Short and Claire Carmouche. Granddaughter of the late Albert and Gertrude Carmouche. Sister of Michael, Eroll, and Gary Augustus. Former wife of the late Thomas Cotton, Sr., survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Testament Bible Baptist Center, Fulfilling the Gospel Ministries International, and priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration at New Testament Bible Baptist Center 1500 Pailet Ave. Harvey, LA on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jerry Davis, officiating.
