Janet Josephine Fongenie Cross Sylvester Villalobos Ussin entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 78. She was a native of Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies and a resident of Harvey,  LA. Janet was a retired employee with Entergy and Dillard’s Department Store. Beloved wife of the late Leroy Ussin, Sr.  Devoted mother of Eulanda (Benjamin) Badger, Paula (Elisha) Bender, Patrick (Taleace ) Beverly, Rachel Ussin, Leroy Ussin, Jr.,  Sparkle “Pixie” (Robert ) Nickerson, Ryan, Sharlene and Suzette “Candice” Sylvester, and the late Alicia “Lisa” Sylvester and Willie David Beverly. Grandmother of the late Kendrick Ussin. Daughter of the late Glyndon M. Cross and Alexandria Fongiene. Special mention Lemar (June) James, also survived by 57 grand and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. Interment: Will Be Private.
