JAMES MARTIN

James Martin entered into eternal rest at his residence on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the age of 69. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. James was a former employee with Avondale Shipyard as a pipefitter. Loving father of Ashley M. Daniels and James M. Daniels. Devoted grandfather of Kerry Daniels and A'zai Harris.  Son of the late Earl Martin, Sr. and Lucy Carter Martin. Grandson of the late Herbert and Hester Morton, Dennis and Rachel Carter. Brother of Henry Martin, Sr., Larry Martin, Alvin Martin, Esther M. Lewis, Irma M. Cole, Ruth M. Paynes, Barbara M. Blain, and the late Earl Martin, Jr., and Willie Martin, Sr., also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Second Zion Baptist Church, St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Cypress Grove Baptist Church of Kenner, Macedonia Baptist Church of Marrero, Household of Faith and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Edward Joseph, III, officiating.
