JAMAL EMILE JULIEN

Jamal Emile Julien departed his earthly life to enter eternal rest on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 29. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. “Mal”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, and was educated in the Orleans Parish and Texas School Systems. Jamal was employed as a carpenter working with his father on varies jobs in the New Orleans area. Devoted father of Jour’ne Julien and Mazi Julien. Fiancée of Ashanti Mahan. Beloved son of Cheryl Julien and Willie (Toya) Washington. Grandson of Ceola Washington, and the late Emile Julien, Sr., Lydia Julien, Willie Mack Rollins, and George Jordan. Great grandson of the late Rosie Henry. Brother of Shawanda Holmes, Makia Johnson, Lydia and Joanisha Julien, Christopher Holmes, Willie Julien, Marsallis and Mackhi Washington. Uncle of the late Armani Maigai. Nephew of Patricia Washington, Yolanda Julien, Glendora Kennedy, Treanell Regist, Shantell Julien, Angela Warren all of Houston, TX., Alphonso Washington, Quentin James, Lloyd Profit, Emile Julien, Jr., Anthony Profit, and the late Leola Washington, Dominique, Jerry, and Emile Washington, James Henry, and Tom Ellis. Great nephew of Rosie Ellis and Wash Henry. Cousin of the late Joshua Profit and Derrick Scott, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above-named parlor.
